For many students, the transition from high school to post-secondary education or employment can be overwhelming. Help them gain a stronger sense of who they are and how to use their strengths to succeed in the future.
Be a part of Junior Achievement Southern Alberta’s 24th annual Economics for Success Post-Secondary event! This is your chance to give grade 9 students to opportunity to consider the advantages of staying in school and learn what is needed to succeed in today’s workforce. Over 3000 students are looking for your help in identifying the financial costs of independence, develop employability skills and explore possible post-secondary destinations.
We are currently looking for volunteers on May 1, 2, 9 & 10 from 8:00 am – 2:30 pm to take part in this educationally event on the SAIT Campus. The time commitment for volunteers is a 90 minute training session held at the JA office downtown and 1 full day of your choice on the SAIT campus. Volunteers will be trained on the Economics for Success program and have the opportunity to share it with grade 9 students in a classroom setting. Not a teacher? No problem! We are looking for volunteers with a passion to share their personal and business expertise to help students get on the path to success.
